Obituary of Soila Reyna Lopez

Soila Reyna Lopez, beloved mother and wife, passed away on April 23, 2024, after a long battle with ongoing health issues. Born to Juanita and Ismael Reyna in Texas, the youngest of 11 children their family settled in California when she was a young girl. She found her passion in the beauty industry becoming a Cosmetologist, Barber, Esthetician, and Instructor.

Known for her vibrant personality and love of all things beauty (and Marylin Monroe), Soila will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Soila’s family asks that she be remembered for the joy she brought to others in life, not the sadness of her passing.

She is survived by her husband John Lopez Senior and four children Estomi, Jesse, James, and Beisima, her beloved grandkids, and her cats Coco Chanel, Janis, and McLovin.

A Celebration of Life will be held May 13th at 2 pm at Salinas Valley Community Church on San Juan Grade Road. Family and friends are welcome to come and share stories and pay respect.
