Obituary of Rosemary Jacobo

Rosemary Jacobo a beloved mother, grandmother, and healthcare professional, passed away on Wednesday, May 17, 2023at the age of 73. Rosemary was born in Texas and lived in Monterey County for over 60 years. She attended North Salinas High School and later went to Hartnell Community College.

Rosemary worked at Natividad and Salinas Valley Memorial Hospitals for many years. She was also a dedicated interpreter who worked hard to bridge the gap between healthcare providers and the Hispanic community. Her ability to speak Spanish fluently allowed her to provide a crucial service to those in need. She was respected and admired by many in the community for her dedication and hard work.

While she worked hard and achieved professionally. Her greatest accomplishment was being a loving and devoted mother to her three sons and eleven grandchildren. She was a constant source of love, support, and guidance to her family and was evident in everything she did. Her memory will forever be cherished by those who knew and loved her.

Rosemary also shared a beautiful relationship with Pete who was by her side at her passing. They could be seen hand in hand walking around Castroville in their later years. Although Pete will miss her tremendously, it is comforting to know that they loved and stayed together through the years.

Rosemary will be remembered for her warm personality, her kindness towards others, and her unwavering devotion to not only help family but anyone who came into her life. Her kindness to others will be missed in this world. She will be deeply missed by all those who knew her.

Visitation will be held at the Healey Mortuary, 405 N. Sanborn Rd., Salinas Wednesday, May 24, 2023 from 1 - 5 PM.

A Rosary will be held also on Wednesday at the Mortuary Chapel at 4:00 PM.

Celebration of the Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, May 25, 2023 at Our Lady of Refuge Church in Castroville at 11:00 AM.

Burial will follow at the Queen of Heaven Cemetery, 18200 Damian Way, Salinas.
