Obituary of Barbara Ann Vasquez Sandoval

Our beloved Barbara Ann Vasquez Sandoval passed away peacefully on May 31, 2021 at the age of 63.  Barbara was born in Watsonville, CA on October 19,1957 and grew up and lived in Castroville, CA.

Barbara will always be remembered for her sweet, funny, outgoing personality and beautiful heart.  She was the life of the party, always making everyone laugh and feel welcomed.  She enjoyed watching football and was a diehard 49ers fan. She loved spending time with both her family and her beloved pet Penny, and going to the casino’s.  Our Barbie will be missed beyond measure, but her legacy will continue in all those whose lives she touched.

Barbara is survived by her mother, Antonia Vasquez Guevara; sons, Angel and Gabriel (Felicia); siblings, Annie, Terry, Vera, Stella, Cathy, and Michael; grandchildren, Marissa and David; godparents Gilbert and Mildred Lemus; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins, all whom loved her dearly.  She is preceded in death by her father, Frank Flores Vasquez and brother Robert.

Visitation will be held Thursday, June 17, 2021 from 1 – 5 pm and Rosary at 4:00 pm at the Healey Mortuary Chapel, 405 N. Sanborn Rd., Salinas. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00am on Friday June 18, 2021 at Our Lady of Refuge Church, 11140 Preston St in Castroville.  Burial will follow at the Castroville Cemetery in Moss Landing.
