Obituary of Alice Lucille Rhoden

Alice Lucille Rhoden

September 16, 1928 - April 1, 2021

Our beloved Mother and Grandmother, Alice Lucille Rhoden, went home to her Savior on April 1, 2021.

She was born to Ernest and Ruth Sebring on September 16, 1928, in Oklahoma City, OK. At the age of 8, she moved to Pajaro, Ca with her parents, sister, Louise and three brothers Wayne, Dean and Don. She attended schools and church in Watsonville, Ca. On August 29, 1948, she married the love of her life, her forever soulmate, Donald Dee Rhoden. Together they raised a loving family and enjoyed forty-two beautiful years of marriage until his passing in 1991.

Known to family and friends as “Lucille,” she was the epitome of beauty, grace and unconditional love. Lucille was always pleasant, cheerful and truly concerned for others, always living her Christian faith. Every day was a demonstration of a life lived with kindness. She enjoyed traveling and fishing on the Klamath River with her husband. Other favorites included reading her Bible, the color pink, watching 49er games and Trisha Yearwood’s cooking show, Costco hot dogs and gatherings with her family.

Lucille is survived by her four children, Steven (Marilyn), Sandra (Danny), Pamela (Donnie) and Donald (Patty); five grandchildren, Amy, Alicia, Steven, Joshua and Kacey and 7 great-grandchildren, Bryana, Zoe, Auston, Tyler, Caden, Natalie and Olivia. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Evonne Sebring. There are countless nieces, nephews and friends who loved her dearly.

We will miss her forever. She will always be in our hearts. In memory of Lucille, please perform an act of kindness for someone and “Put a little love in your heart.”

Family Services are to be held, Friday, April 9, 2021 at the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Salinas.

So much thankfulness and appreciation is sent to Paul and Nancy MacDonald for their loving care and companionship shown to our Mother and Grandma. She loved you as her own.
