Obituary of Ernest Richard Bernal

Ernest Richard "Tito" Bernal, 63, passed away Thursday, January 28, 2021 in Salinas.  Ernest was born in Orange County on March 29, 1957 and moved to Salinas in the late 1960's.  Ernest met his wife Yolanda in the late 1970's and married December 22, 1984. 

Ernest worked as freezer operator at Salinas United Foods for many years.  He was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather.  Ernest's favorite pass time was washing and cleaning his cars while listening to his oldie music.  He and Yolanda just celebrated their 36th Wedding Anniversary.

Ernest is survived by his wife, Yolanda, his children, Jiselle Bernal (Ramon Peguero), Jasmine Bernal, JioVanna Bernal, and Ernie Bernal Jr. (Stephanie Ramirez), his mother, Ramona Bernal, father Ruben Bernal (RIP).  He was a brother to Lupy, Ruben (RIP), Ramon, Corina, Leticia, Veronica, and Regina Bernal.  He also leaves his grandchildren, Xavier Jonathan, Alyssa Jane, Nathan Jeremiah, Michael Jayce, Aleena Rose, Jayden Malachi, Leamiah Irie, Damian George, Levi Gionni, Jenevieve Tru, Joseph Richard, and Andrew Bernal.

Visitation will be held Monday, February 15, 2021 at Northminster Presbyterian Church, 315 E. Alvin Drive, Salinas from 1 - 8 PM.

A Prayer Services will be held at 6:00 PM at the Church.

Graveside Services will be held Tuesday, February 16, 2021 at the  Queen of Heaven Cemetery at 1:00 PM.
