Obituary of Elias Guardado

Elias Preciado Guardado, 80, longtime resident of Salinas, passed away on May 2, 2015 in Salinas. He was born on May 6, 1934 to parents of Pedro and Catalina Guardado in Cuauhtémoc, Colima, Mexico. In 1959, Elias met and married his caring wife, Roberta. Together they raised their four children. Elias started as a share cropper and then went on as supervisor for Driscoll Farms for over 38 years. Dad enjoyed spending time with his family and going to the casinos, watching boxing and going to the rodeo. Thanks to the VNA Hospice team, and especially Dr. Geetha Varma and Dr. Dennis Phan for the compassionate care. Elias is survived by, his wife, Roberta Guardado children, Mary Ellen Guardado Jessie Guardado Bertha (Gustavo) Briseno and Catalina (Jesse) Obas grandchildren, Doreen Huerta, Karina Briseno, Jessie Elias Guardado, Ariana Guardado, Mateo Obas and Berenice Obas great-grandchildren, Xavier Izik, Dominik and Gabriel along with other loving family and friends. Family Graveside Services have been held at the Garden of Memories Cemetery 850 Abbott St. Salinas, CA 93901.
